Today Hawks welcome Nettleham to Lowfields without goalkeeper Nathan Jessop with Kyle Scott filling in between the sticks. The game kicks off with Hawks playing against the wind and with only 4 minutes on the clock a long range left footed strike by Jack M bobbles and deceives the keeper 1-0 Hawks. Nettleham soon re-group and score 1-1. Hawks go straight back on the attack and score 2 quick goals, an own goal from an excellent Ian corner and a super strike from Jack F 3-1 Hawks. Just when we thought we were "safe" the boys went to sleep and Nettleham pulled 1 back 3-2. But again Hawks bounce back and Alex D scores his 1st goal for Barrowby 4-2. But again we switch off and Nettleham grab a goal back 4-3. But after some great battling in the Nettleham penalty area the impressive Jack F spins off his man and finishes with a sweet strike to put the Hawks 5-3 up at half time. The second half starts with the wind behind us but things don't go to plan with Nettleham penning us back in our own half and before we know it the score is 5-5 with Nettleham looking stronger. With ten minutes to go "come on boys don't throw this away" is the cry from the touchline. 5 minutes to go the Hawks re-grouped and a long kick from stand in keeper Kyle S followed by a flick on from Josh W sends Ben W through where he holds off the defender and cooly lobs the keeper to win the Hawks the game 6-5. Thank you Ben !

Today the Hawks weren't at their fluent best but true grit and determination shone through. MoM Jack F 2 excellent strikes. Well done boys lets keep the run going !
